Nutritional epidemiology plays a pivotal role in understanding the complex interplay between diet, health, and disease. The selection of covariates in these studies is a critical methodological decision, as it influences the precision and validity of the results. This meta-epidemiological review aims to systematically evaluate and compare the methods employed for covariate selection across a diverse range of nutritional epidemiology studies [1].
