Any chemical substance (other than food) used in the treatment, prevention, diagnosis, or cure of disease, or the regulation of physiological processes is a drug . Chemistry, biochemistry, biology, physiology, pathology,toxicology, and medicine are just a few of the allied clinical and non-clinical disciplines that the science of pharmacology draws information and techniques from.
